Reaching Beyond - Denise Evans
£20.00 GBP
Denise Evans was the first (and thus far only!) female president of the Alpine Club back in 1986. Her mother Nea Morin was one of the founding members of The Pinnacle Club, so it's hardly surprising she had mountains and an indomitable spirit in her blood! Her autobiography is a window into a life filled with mountaineering and sailing adventures, told with her characteristic sharp wit.
From the publisher:
Reaching Beyond is the autobiography of Denise Evans, written in her distinctive voice and showing the characteristics that enabled her to climb hard and sail hard.
Her story is one of resilience, adventure and an unwavering spirit. From her early years in Paris, France to her later life filled with climbing, sailing, and overcoming personal challenges, she exemplifies a life lived fully and fearlessly, continuing her adventures into her mid-eighties. Her narrative is deeply inspiring.
