Size guide and measurements

A well-fitting, fast-wicking baselayer is the foundation of any layering system, and the Soltera series delivers all year round. Our polyester baselayer fabric is silky soft, and its dual structure provides permanent wicking performance - so it keeps moving moisture off your skin when you're working hard in the heat. The SILVERPLUS® treatment prevents odour build-up and reduces the need for frequent washing.

Flatlock seams throughout and underarm gussets mean ease of movement and zero chafing, with nothing to rub under a rucksack strap.

Patterned and fitted for active women's bodies, including room for athletic shoulders, with a body length that both flatters and functions.

Fabric and technology

Our Soltera fabric is a silky-soft polyester with a different knit structure on the outside to the inside, which moves moisture away from your skin. Because that behaviour comes from how the fabric is made, the wicking performance is permanent - it won't wash out after a season.

The fabric carries a SILVERPLUS® treatment, which prevents odour building up and means you can wear it for longer between washes. That's useful on multi-day trips, and better for the garment too - washing is what wears clothes out.

Specification
  • Fabric: 100% polyester, 105gsm
  • Made in: Portugal
Fit

Fitted up top, looser through the waist and hem for comfort and air flow.

Why we made this

Too many women's baselayers aren’t made with active women’s bodies in mind: too narrow across the shoulders, short in the sleeve or body, and quick to ride up the moment you reach overhead.

We wanted one patterned from how women actually move. That means room across the back for the muscles you build climbing and carrying a pack. Underarm gussets, so the hem stays where you put it when you reach above your head and no seams to rub all day.

Soltera is the baselayer we wanted and couldn't buy.

Care and aftercare
  • Wash at 40°C with similar colours
  • Hang dry, do not tumble dry
  • Iron on low if you really want to
FAQs

How does the sizing come up?

Fitted through the upper body but with room for athletic shoulders, and looser in the lower body for comfort and air flow. If you prefer a more relaxed fit around the armpit, you might consider sizing up.

Can I wear it on its own?

Absolutely, that's what it's designed for. But you can also wear a slim fitting layer underneath if you want. We've even worn the Soltera Tee under the Hoody for extra flexibility.

Does the fabric feel plasticky?

No. We spent a long time hunting for a soft, non-sweaty polyester that doesn't cling to your skin.

Is the light colour see-through?

No. We checked it against our darkest black sports bra and you can't see a thing.

Does the wicking wash out over time?

No. The moisture-moving behaviour comes from the knit structure itself rather than a coating, so it is permanent. It won't fade after a season.
